The Code of Ethics of Dental Hygienists’ Association of Australia Inc. Members
- Provide oral health care utilising the highest level of professional knowledge, judgement and skill;
- Serve all patients without discrimination;
- Hold in confidence the details of all professional services and the confidence by or of any patient;
- Refrain from criticising the dental profession;
- Function harmoniously with all health professions;
- Comply with and support National Legislation;
- Report any breaches of such Legislation;
- Create and maintain a healthy and ecological work environment that will minimise risk to patients and colleagues;
- Support and participate in our professional association and uphold its objectives and policies;
- Develop co-operative relationships and exchange knowledge with allied health professionals;
- Advance professional competencies through continuous learning to meet the highest standards of care;
- Hold confident all matters and details pertaining to the Association;
- Attain permission prior to any written or verbal public statement.
