The WA Branch of the Dental Hygienists Association of Australia was formed in 2004. We are a relatively new branch of an association that spans most of the other states and territories of Australia.

WA has over 250 registered hygienists and growing, and we are very pleased be part of a national association that provides support to the dental hygiene and oral health therapy profession.

The Dental Hygienists Association of Australia is continually offering professional development programs, incorporating evolving scientific knowledge.

We encourage qualified hygienists, OHT’s, and recent graduates of the Oral Health Therapy course at Curtin University to be part of our association. We also welcome students as the hygienists and OHT’s of the future – we offer free student membership, and a discounted rate after graduation.

Please join with us to help the association continue to actively promote our profession. Our committee generously give their time voluntarily for the running of the association.

A special resolution was passed by voting members  at a meeting held on Monday 14th December 2015, agreeing that DHAA (WA) Inc winds down and transitions to one National body; DHAA Ltd.

This WA based website will close down in mid-April and you should direct all inquiries to the national website;

Our current events that are open for registration have been sent to members via email over the past few weeks (as at 10th April) – please check your emails regarding these and follow the links contained within the emails to register.  Our upcoming event on 28th April has only 13 places left – get in quick!

You can still make any general inquiries regarding this site, and any other general inquiries regarding the national restructure to Natasha Hunt at:

As a member you will still have the full support of the WA State committee, and we will continue to manage CPD Events as before.
